A Fantastic Four Hours!
The weekend of July 17th brought the crew to Saugerties, NY to spend an amazing and fantastic four (nerd joke inserted) hours with 2013 Eisner Hall of Famer and the man who many consider to be the best inker of all time: Mr. Joe Sinnott. Just one look at this man's amazing list of credits and there can be no argument. Aside from being an inker, Mr. Sinnott is an incredible penciler and writer as well and is still doing work on the daily Marvel Spider-Man newspaper strips to

Into The Cave
4th of July weekend brought us to Newtown, Connecticut and into the infamous Cave Comics to interview the man behind TerrifiCon, Mitch Hallock. Mitch is the CEO of Big Fedora Marketing and recently found a new home for TerrifiCon - Mohegan Sun Casino & Hotel in Uncasville, Connecticut! Mitch's knowledge of comic books is astounding and his infectious personality made him a no-brainer to include in the ensemble cast of the documentary. We also did a quick interview with Cave

Legends of Superheros
While Charlton Comics: The Movie will be packed to the gills with artists, writers and editors that are industry legends, we also need to feature some commentary from other people who can pass along knowledge of the Derby, Connecticut publishing company. One of those such people are Professor William H. Foster, a comic book historian based in Middletown, Connecticut. Professor Foster was recently featured in the PBS marathon three-part documentary "Superheroes: A Never-Endin

The Statonator
CharltonMovie took a trip to Kingston, New York to the home of Joe & Hilary Staton to do a second interview with the comic book art legend! What can you say about the Statons except that they are quite possibly the most endearing and welcoming people that you'll find. While we felt like a major inconvience to them invading their home for an afternoon, the Staton's were warm and inviting and we had a great time geeking out with them. We settled in on their three-season porch

Laughs with Layton & Two Joe's
A trip to Super Mega Fest Comic Con to visit Mr. Bob Layton (known for his definitive work on Marvel's Iron Man) was next on the agenda for Charlton Comics: The Movie! We met Bob in the summer of 2014 at Connecticut ComiCONN where he was on a Charlton Comics panel with Paul Kupperberg, Denny O'Neil, Frank McLaughlin & Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. Bob's energy was immediately infectious and when we approached him about participating in the documentary project, he answered with a "

Kicking Off in Derby, CT
Production on Charlton Comics: The Movie kicked off in late November on a blustery Sunday morning on the grounds of the old Charlton Press site on Division Street in Derby, Connecticut. Paul Kupperberg, famous from his amazing body work at DC Comics, and most recently known for being the "man who killed Archie Andrews" joined us for a solid hour of all things Charlton. Paul told us tales of his days writing at Charlton, and also spoke at length about the all-new Charlton Com
