Fake, Guy
We're one step closer to wrapping up the origin of Charlton's founder, John Santangelo! Earlier this month, I put in a request to the National Archives and Records Administration to pull the court cases for Mr. John - I didn't know what I'd get, or IF I'd get anything.
A few days later, I got my response - Yes, they were able to locate the case files, and yes, they could pull them for me!
When I started research for this documentary, I never dreamed that I'd get to dig t

Thomas Terrific Talks
It came together fast. TerrifiCON's founder Mitch Hallock said that legendary writer Roy Thomas was interested in doing an on-camera interview for the doc when he was here in Connecticut for the show. Great! But...would our schedules allow it? We reached out to Roy's manager, John Cimino to coordinate with Roy's schedule. This Film Goes South...
Just in time for a snow storm, our crew trudged forward on our quest to complete the shooting of the movie by hopping on a plane and heading to the hot and humid state of Florida. Keith, Jackie and Jude trekked down with a total of 17 pieces of luggage filled with gear, t-shirts, shorts and flip flops to shoot interviews with E-Man co-creator Nicola "Nick" Cuti and a formal full sit down interview with Tony Stark himself, Bob Layton. Our 14-hr shoot date on Tuesday, December

The leaves are changing, so pack away your Speedo (Eeeeek!!!) and grab something pumpkin spice flavored, and let's catch up! We posted a blog back in July after we interviewed Charlton's youngest writer, Will Franz. If you missed out, you can read it here. Will invited us to his office over in Brooklyn to get the nitty gritty on why he was perhaps the only person ever to be censored while working fo

The Engaging Life of Will "Willi" Franz
It was hot! Sticky, humid, a sweltering 90 degrees, and the perfect day to venture in to Brooklyn! If we thought the summer heat was scorching enough, 5 floors up at the offices of ICS, awaited the day's hot topic - Will Franz! One of the most fascinating things about Will (known then as "Willi") is that he wrote some of the most violent, realistic and cerebral war comics in the history of the genre. Not in the history of Charlton Comics, but the GENRE ITSELF. He contribut
